Compass
Integrations
See Whether Your Integrations Are Working
Description: Org owners and admins can now open Settings › Logs › Integration Log to check that your CRM, calendars, and call recording are working. Each category at the top of the page shows green for working, red for an error, or gray for not set up, along with when it last synced successfully. For calendars and the Letter meeting recorder, you see how many people are connected and how many connections are failing, and you can open the list to see which users have a problem and why. Below that is a timestamped history of every connection, disconnection, expired login, sync error, permission error, and reconnection, including Gong capture failures. Each entry names the tool, the person, and what went wrong, so you know who needs to fix it. Other users in your org do not see the page.
Solution & Impact: Integration failures used to be invisible to you. An expired Salesforce login or a disconnected calendar usually came to light only when deals or calls stopped updating, and connection status was spread across individual badges in Integrations settings with no history. Now you can check integration health and see what broke and when, without waiting for stale data to show the problem.
Choose Which CRM Fields Refresh Deal Insights
Description: Admins can now mark which of the CRM fields configured in Compass should trigger fresh deal insights. Key deal fields such as Stage, Amount, and Close Date are on by default, while IDs, owner emails, and system or audit fields are off. When a selected field changes, the deal's insights are regenerated, at most once a day. Changes to fields that are not selected still sync and still appear on the deal; they just do not start a new insight run. New calls, emails, and meetings still update insights as they do today. This works for Salesforce and HubSpot, and changing a setting applies from then on without regenerating your whole pipeline.
Solution & Impact: Every field change used to count, so a nightly CRM automation touching an unrelated field could refresh insights across your whole pipeline with nothing new to say. Reps saw "insights updated" with no real change and learned to ignore it. Now an insights refresh means something on the deal actually moved.
Call Recorder
Find Every Customer Call You Were On
Description: You can now find any customer call you attended in Calls, even if you do not have access to the deal it is matched to. This applies to SEs, CSMs, and managers who joined the call. You can play the recording and read the summary, transcript, and comments, and the call shows up in search and filters. The View opportunity button stays greyed out unless you have access to the deal, so the call is shared with you but the deal is not. This applies to calls from the Letter meeting recorder, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Gong, Chorus, Clari, and RingCentral. People who were not on the call and do not have deal access still cannot see it.
Solution & Impact: A call matched to a deal used to be visible only to people on the deal and to the person who recorded it, so an SE or CSM who joined could not go back to a conversation they were part of. Internal calls that matched no deal were already visible to everyone who attended, which meant deal-matched calls were harder for attendees to find. Now being on the call is enough to see it, and deal access is unchanged.
Filter Calls by Deal Stage
Description: You can now filter Calls by the stage the deal was in when the call happened. Pull every Discovery call to see how your team opens, or every Negotiation call to review how pricing gets handled. Calls already in your library have been filled in from your CRM's stage history where it is available.
Solution & Impact: Finding calls from one part of the sales cycle used to mean opening deals one at a time and comparing call dates to stage changes. The filter uses the stage at the time of the call, not the deal's current stage, so a closed deal's early discovery calls still show up as Discovery.
Agent
Ask the Agent About the Call You Have Open
Description: When you have a call open, you can ask the Letter AI Agent about "this call" without naming it or pasting a link. Try "summarize this call", "what objections came up here?", or "draft a follow-up email from this conversation", and the Agent answers from the call on your screen.
Solution & Impact: The Agent used to have no idea which call you were looking at, so you had to identify the call yourself before asking about it, which is not what people expect. It now uses the call on your screen as context.
