Call Recorder

See When Someone Shared Their Screen

  • Description: When you open a call, the speaker bar under the recording now shows when someone was sharing their screen, and who. The share segments sit alongside the talk-time bars, so you can jump straight to the demo or the pricing walkthrough instead of scrubbing for it. This applies to calls recorded by the Letter meeting recorder on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Solution & Impact: Finding the part of a call where a rep walked through the product used to mean scrubbing the video. A manager reviewing a call can now see at a glance whether a demo happened, how long it ran, and go straight to it, which is what teams coming from Gong and Chorus expect.

Let Chosen Users See Every Deal Call

  • Description: Admins and owners can now let some or all users see every call matched to an opportunity, not only the calls they attended or the deals they collaborate on. Open Settings › Integrations › Call Recorder and turn on Users View All Opportunity Calls. Pick specific users or access groups, or leave both empty to apply it to everyone. Internal calls and unmatched calls are not affected and keep their existing access rules.

  • Solution & Impact: Teams can browse every customer call in the org, which is how new reps can learn and how enablement teams find examples. Compass defaulted to a tighter rule where you saw only calls you were on or deals you collaborate on, so a rep could not learn from a teammate's discovery call. Admins now decide how open the call library is, per user or group, without changing who can see the deal itself.

Deal Hub

Your Deal Filters Stay Put

  • Description: The filters you set on your deals now stay in place when you come back. Whether you filter the Kanban view on the VP dashboard or your own deal list in the rep view, Compass remembers your choices across sessions until you change or clear them.

  • Solution & Impact: Filters used to reset every time you left the page, so anyone who worked from a specific slice of pipeline, such as one stage or one owner, rebuilt the same filter several times a day. Set it once and it is there next time.

Insights & Recommendations

Source Links on External Research and Call Quotes

  • Description: Every External Research finding on a deal now links to the page it came from, and every quote in Common Topics links to the call it was said on, at that moment in the recording. Click a research claim to open the source; click a quote to jump to that point in the call. When you ask the Letter AI Agent about a deal, the call quotes it uses are cited the same way, so you can check the source before you use it.

  • Solution & Impact: External research and call quotes used to appear without attribution, so a rep who wanted to put a claim in an outreach email had to go verify it on their own, or leave it out. Attribution is what makes the research usable in front of a customer.

Integrations

Attention Joins the Supported Call Recorders

  • Description: If your team records calls with Attention, admins can now connect it from Settings › Integrations with an organization-level API key. Compass checks for new conversations every 15 minutes and brings each one in with its recording, speaker-attributed transcript, summary, and attendee list, then matches it to the right deal using the CRM records Attention already holds on the conversation, falling back to Compass's usual matching when there are none. Calls that match nothing land in Unmatched Calls for you to link by hand, Attention appears in the Calls source filter, and internal conversations are left out.

  • Solution & Impact: Attention joins Gong, Chorus, Otter, Momentum, RingCentral, and GoTo Connect as a supported call source. Teams on Attention previously had no way to get call data into Compass, so deal insights, coaching, and the Agent were working without the conversations that matter most.

Settings

Hide People from the Org Chart

  • Description: Admins and owners can now hide people from the Compass Org chart. Open the Org chart and click Manage visibility to see everyone in your org; uncheck anyone who should not appear, or search by name or title and unselect everyone who matches. Changes apply immediately, and the header shows how many people are hidden. Hiding a manager rolls their reports up to the next visible manager; hiding someone with no visible manager above them removes their whole branch rather than promoting anyone to the top. This only changes the chart: hidden users still count in Deal Hub rollups, Coaching, Account owners, digests, and Agent answers, and the setting survives CRM and user syncs. Managers and reps see the cleaned-up chart with no indication anyone was removed.

  • Solution & Impact: Org charts synced from the CRM often include executives, contractors, or admin accounts that have nothing to do with selling, and the only fix was editing manager fields in the CRM, which changed data everywhere. Admins can now shape the chart to the sales org without touching anything else.

Turn Off the Momentum and Likelihood Forecast Chips

  • Description: Admins can now switch off the Momentum and Likelihood Forecast chips on Deal Hub and deal pages for your whole org. The toggles sit on the CRM Configuration page with your field mappings, and each chip can be turned off on its own. Everything else on the deal stays as it is.

  • Solution & Impact: Until now the chips were on for every org with no way to remove them. Teams that run their own forecast categories, or want to introduce AI signals to reps gradually, can now decide when, or whether, the chips appear.
